Kolbe's time with Daddy and Pinkie

Things continue to change at the Asmussen Household. With Kolbe Man, it's a daily thing! His newest skills include dancing, growling, and dumping out his entire bucket of toys. The dancing is the cutest, the growling funniest, and the toy dumping most annoying! But other changes abound as well. Mark was very happy to get two weeks off from PA School and decided to keep Kolbe home from his sitter's house. They spent two soild weeks of Daddy and Kolbe time! I think when all was said and done, Mark truly loved it but decided that being a stay at home dad was certainly not his dream occupation. Guess he has a little more respect for us mama's now! Carying for these little ones certainly is a full time job!

Daddy makes a good horsey! He even lets me take my hammer along for the ride!

Mark and Kolbe both LOVE the "catfish" pose. In general, Kolbe likes to be upside down, but when Daddy does it, it makes it even more fun! You can tell Daddy loves it too!

Mark had to head back to Midland this Monday to begin the fall semester, but with his leaving, we received two new arrivals. Uncle Dave moved in to our spare bedroom last weekend. He began his freshman year at Tech on Monday. Dave will be living with us this year. I know this is going to be a HUGE help to me as I try to get through this pregnancy with Mark going back and forth! (Maybe we can help him a bit as well!) Dave is such an awesome "kid!" Hopefully all of you who don't know him will get a chance to meet him. He's calm and put-together like Andy, looks a lot like Mike, is creative like me, and is nothing like Pat! (just kidding! Love you, Pat!)

Kolbe's sitter's daughter recently had a baby so Debbie is out of town helping her out for a few weeks. That being said, my mom has also been staying with us and watching Kolbe. Bless her heart, she's been roughing it on an air mattress! She's also been quoted several times saying, "I just don't see how you do it! He's a total wild man! None of you 5 Hefferly kids were EVER this active! He just goes, goes, goes!" Kolbe has absolutely fallen in love with her and will probably be devestated when she has to head back to The Woodlands. Grandpa will be coming in this weekend too for a couple of days. So needless to say, the Asmussen Household has been packed lately! I'm sure in a week or two everything will be back to normal!

As for Baby Two, we have another sonogram on Wednesday and Uncle Pat will be accompanying me since Daddy is in Midland. I'll be sure to post pictures some time next week. The first trimester is done!

Just one more picture of little K-Man. He continues to be the most adorable, flirty, friendly, lively boy around! He truly defines living life to the fullest! This guy "leaves it all on the field" so to say, playing his heart out and trying to discover the world!

Little Bubble Head says: "I'm not supposed to be touching the faucet...wonder if she'll notice or be mesmerized by my precious face!?!"

Kolbe is just precious! I hope things will be a little easier for you now that you are out of your first trimester and Uncle Dave will be around to help. I know how hard it is to have NO energy but still have to run after a kid that has only one speed, "Fast"!
